One person is dead after a truck hit two cars in a hit-and-run crash before crashing into a tree, The Auburndale Police Department announced.

Police responded to three traffic crashes on Berkley Road and Strickland Lane around 3:00 a.m.

When first responders arrived they found a truck had hit a tree killing the driver.

Police said an initial investigation indicated all incidents were related.

The Auburndale Police ask if anyone has information regarding the case, including witnesses, surveillance footage, or drivers who were in the area, to call investigators at 863-965-5555.
