MACCLENNY, Fla. – One person was in critical condition Sunday after a shooting around noon near the Baker County Health Department in Macclenny, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police activity resulted in the closures of Lowder Road, Ninth Street and Quail Lane for several hours.
The Baker County Sheriff’s Office said deputies served a search warrant at a home on Ninth Street that was connected to the shooting.
Investigators said they found “several guns and a fugitive.” They identified the man found at the home as 25-year-old Evintae Tyrone Moring.
Deputies said there are no other threats in the area and that they will provide updates as they become available.
