SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. —
A fire crew stopped a truck fire from spreading to other vehicles in a south Fort Myers hotel parking lot Monday morning.
According to South Trail Fire and Rescue, the crew responded at 7:41 a.m. to a vehicle fire outside the Comfort Inn & Suites Airport on Intercom Drive.
Firefighters reported seeing smoke from Daniels Parkway before arriving to find a pickup truck engulfed in flames and other vehicles at risk.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, preventing the fire from spreading. However, vehicles on both sides of the pickup truck sustained heat damage.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
