Man killed, woman injured in Phoenix neighborhood shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman and a man were found shot in a car in the Phoenix neighborhood on Monday night.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said just before 7 p.m., a man in his late 30s and a woman in her early 20s were found shot near the intersection of East 10th Street and Phoenix Avenue.

The man died from his injuries at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

JSO is investigating to learn what led to the shooting.
