A shooting early Saturday morning in Escambia County claimed the life of a man.
Deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 8-Fifty Event Center on the corner of Delano Street and Pace Boulevard.
One man was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was actually found in a nearby gas station parking lot and pronounced dead. It happened around 2:30 a.m.
The venue deputies were called to is marketed to hold concerts, events, and parties.
Descriptions on the website says it was ‘formerly’ a nightclub, and is available to rent for private events.
A disclaimer on their website says most events require people to be 25 years or older to attend events.

Wear News reached out to the owner of the 8-Fifty Event Center for more information and has not heard back.
Wear News also asked to interview information officers with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and were refused.
We went back to the scene later Saturday morning and saw one woman place a teddy bear in the parking lot.
Her relation to the decedent is unknown.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
