A 22-year-old man was killed Sunday night in a crash on Interstate 295 near the Dames Point Bridge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said at 8:01 p.m., a motorcyclist from Jacksonville was traveling south on I-295 when his motorcycle struck the back of a Toyota Corolla, which was also traveling in the same direction.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Troopers reported that the 26-year-old woman driving the Toyota was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Her 27-year-old male passenger was not injured.
