The Villages man, 95, dies in crash with fence, tree

A 95-year-old The Villages man died Monday morning when his vehicle crashed into a fence and tree in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 9:17 a.m. on Buena Vista Boulevard.

According to troopers, the man was traveling north in a Buick and failed to negotiate a curve, going off the road and crashing into a fence and then into a tree.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

No other information was released.
