The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a woman on the Northside on Tuesday morning.
JSO said a little after 3:30 a.m., a woman in her early 20s was found with a gunshot wound in a house on 800 Hartshill Place on Jacksonville’s Northside.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she died.
Police said they detained several witnesses, and they are cooperating.
It is an open investigation, and JSO said anyone with information can call them at 904-630-0500 or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 866-845-TIPS.
