A suspect was arrested Tuesday after assaulting a victim with a “sharp object” during a vehicle burglary, Pembroke Pines police confirmed.
According to police, the incident happened in the area of Northwest 119th Avenue and 14th Court.
Police said the vehicle owner confronted the culprit during the vehicle burglary, at which time the suspect attacked the victim.
Police initially identified the suspect only as a Black male, possibly a teenager, who was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and a mask.
While officers later confirmed that he had been detained, his identity was not immediately released.
