A 22-year-old Pensacola motorcyclist was seriously injured in a head-on crash in Escambia County Wednesday morning.
It happened around 8:15 a.m. on W Fairfield Drive near 61st Ave.
According to FHP, the motorcyclist was traveling east on W Fairfield Drive, while a pickup truck was traveling west in the left turn lane.
“Witness’ stated the motorcycle was passing 4 to 5 vehicles before entering the intersection,” FHP says in a release.
The motorcycle collided head-on with the pickup while the pickup was still in the left turn lane, according to FHP.
The motorcyclist was transported to Baptist Hospital with serious injuries. The pickup driver — a 41-year-old Pensacola man — suffered minor injuries.
