COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —
A bicyclist was seriously injured Friday after a collision with a car on Island Walk Circle near Logan Boulevard North in Collier County.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened shortly before 10:00 a.m. when a driver traveling west on Island Walk Circle attempted to turn right onto Logan Boulevard North.
The bicyclist, a 75-year-old man, was riding south on the east sidewalk when the vehicle turned into his path.
The man sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
FHP has not released the name of the driver or the bicyclist. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
