SEFFNER, Fla. (WFLA) — A crash on an Interstate 4 on-ramp Friday afternoon left a little bit of a sandy mess after a tractor-trailer flipped.
Around 12:35 p.m., a 61-year-old Tampa man was driving a tractor-trailer on northbound Mange Road. While making a left turn onto the entrance ramp of westbound I-4, the driver failed to negotiate the turn.
The truck overturned and spilled its load of sand it was transporting, all over the road.
The images provided by the Florida Highway Patrol show the on-ramp covered in a layer of sand, as the tractor-trailer rests on its side.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
