OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — A structure fire on Kanuha Drive in Fort Walton Beach left residents displaced on Sunday, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
The Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District responded to the blaze at 445 Kanuha Drive around 2:30 p.m., where the fire began on the outside of a middle unit in a quadplex.
It extended up the rear wall into the attic space of the two middle units, which suffered the most significant damage, according to the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District.
All four units were affected, displacing all residents. No injuries were reported.
Crews worked aggressively to contain the fire and limit further damage, with critical scene support from Okaloosa County EMS and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Station backfill was provided by the Eglin AFB Fire Department and the Florosa Fire Department, according to the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District.
