A single-engine aircraft crashed in a field near Hastings on Saturday afternoon, leading to an emergency response from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
In a post on social media, authorities confirmed that the pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft.
He suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
