UPDATE: As of 5:25 p.m., all southbound lanes are now reopened.

Officials with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ASO) said that all southbound lanes of US 441, or Southwest 13th Street, were closed down due to a car crash.

On Florida511’s traffic camera, we saw the crash appear to have happened in front of the Circle K on 13th Street.

FHP troopers said they were called to the scene around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday and arrived about five minutes later.

ASO officials said they responded around 4:20 p.m., injuries were reported on the scene, and that three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Gainesville Police Department (GPD), Gainesville Fire Rescue (GFR), and Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) units all responded, but the investigation has been turned over to FHP.

Deputies are asking commuters to please find an alternate route.

This is a developing story.
