Firefighters put out an apartment fire in Gainesville early Friday morning.
According to Gainesville Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to an apartment fire at Summit House Apartments in Gainesville just after midnight. Crews say the was in a 2nd floor kitchen.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire. All of the occupants were safely evacuated and crews were able to rescue a cat as well. The fire is currently under investigation.
