A person was transported to the hospital after an apartment fire in Escambia County on Friday afternoon.
Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to the incident at Carriage Hills Apartments in the 2300 block of Michigan Avenue. The fire happened around 3 p.m.
According to the county, firefighters are still on scene of the incident.
It’s unknown what caused the fire at this time. No further details were released.
