Alabama woman dies in two-vehicle Bonifay crash.

 A woman from Troy is dead after a two-vehicle accident occurred in Bonifay late Friday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. when the SUV the woman was riding in ran a red light and crashed into a pickup truck at the intersection of State Road 79 and County Road 173.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the SUV, a man from Troy, was sent to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.

The Bonifay Police Department responded to the scene along with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department and Bonifay Fire Department.

The accident is still being investigated and charges are pending.
