A 55-year-old was found dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash in Alachua County that was discovered a day after it occurred, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers discovered the crash that happened on NW 107th Terrance and NW 11th Avenue on Wednesday morning.

The investigation revealed that the man was driving north on NW 107th Ter on Tuesday evening when he veered off the road, went through a ditch, collided with shrubbery, and crashed into a tree.

He died on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
