According to Florida 511, the crash occurred just before Mile Marker 90 at around 1:50 p.m., and as of the latest update at 2:18 p.m., the roadway remains completely blocked.
Photos taken from traffic cameras show all lanes blocked, and traffic extending down the busy highway.
Emergency crews are on the scene working to clear the wreckage and assist those involved. Drivers traveling through the area should expect significant delays and are urged to seek alternate routes.
