FORT MYERS, Fla. —
A structure fire broke out at Village Creek Apartments in Fort Myers early Wednesday morning.
One person was removed from the building. They were transported to the hospital by EMS with non-critical injuries.

Fort Myers police left the building as the fire department was dispatched.
A Fort Myers Battalion Chief says that hoarding conditions inside the apartment may have made the flames worse.
