An Apopka Police Department officer was hospitalized after a crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at the intersection of Clarcona Road South and East 18th Street in Apopka.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident involved a 2015 Hyundai Genesis, driven by a 19-year-old, and a marked Ford Explorer belonging to the Apopka Police Department.
The police officer was transported to AdventHealth in Apopka. However, details on the severity of the injuries were not shared.
The 19-year-old was not transported and remained at the scene, according to the FHP.
This crash remains under investigation.
