A heated argument between two men in Boca Raton turned into a deadly stabbing.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) reported that on August 6, at around 10:40 p.m., Peterson Eliantus, 37, called the victim, and they began to argue.
Deputies stated that Eliantus then proceeded to drive with a friend to the home that the victim was staying at, located near the intersection of Southwest 9th Street and Southwest 54th Way in Boca Raton.
According to the report, the victim and Eliuntus met outside of the home and began to get into a physical fight, chasing each other through the street and exchanging punches.
A neighbor who had witnessed the fight told deputies that she saw Eliuntus stab the victim and then heard the victim say, “Yo bro, you really stabbed me bro?” as he was holding on to his stomach area.
After the fight, PBSO reported that Eliuntus fled the scene, and the victim was taken to a hospital by friends, where he died.
An autopsy was conducted the next day, which confirmed the 37-year-old victim had died from a stab wound to the chest and abdomen.
Eliuntus has been accused of second-degree murder and has his first court appearance on Wednesday morning.
