Arrest made after juvenile shot in knee in Daytona Beach

One juvenile was arrested Saturday night after another was shot in the knee in Daytona Beach, police said.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. at 1381 N. Clyde Morris Boulevard, south of LPGA Boulevard.

Daytona Beach police said officers were called to the area and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right knee.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspected shooter, also a juvenile, fled the area but was later located found and taken into custody, police said.

Police have not released the names of those involved due to their ages.

No other details, including what led to the shooting, have been provided by authorities.
