At least 1 dead in crash involving ATV, truck in Fleming Island

The Florida Highway Patrol said it is investigating a deadly crash on Friday involving an ATV and a truck in Fleming Island.

FHP said the crash happened on U.S. 17 northbound at Hibernia Road in Clay County when a side-by-side vehicle and a pickup truck collided.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people were killed.

FHP said around 11:45 a.m. there was no road blockage but asked people in the area to use caution as troopers investigated the scene.

No other details were immediately available, but FHP is expected to release a more detailed report at a later time.
