At least 1 hospitalized after train, car collide in Northwest Jacksonville

A crash involving an Amtrak train at Moncrief Dinsmore Road sent at least one person to the hospital Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Civic Club Drive and Moncrief Dinsmore Road in the Dinsmore area of Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Civic Club Drive, which crosses the railroad tracks, was closed in both directions.

A Jacksonville Fire and Rescue spokesperson said one person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Amtrak said it has no information to release.
