At least two people are dead after a fire in Port Charlotte late Tuesday night.
This happened along Barre Drive just before 11:30 p.m. Charlotte County Fire & EMS says multiple people were stuck in the home.
It is still not known how many people were inside when the fire happened. There are two confirmed dead and multiple injuries.
Gulf Coast News is told four helicopters were called to transport four patients. Animals were in the home. Two dogs and a cat are dead. The home is a total loss.
The Red Cross will be helping. The State Fire Marshal is investigating along with the Charlotte County Fire Marshal, Charlotte County Fire & EMS, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the medical examiner and the Peace River K-9s.
