Founding Attorney Abraham S. Ovadia is a South Florida native who has dedicated his professional career to advocating on behalf of men, women, and families throughout the region after they have suffered harm in auto accidents or have been wronged by insurance companies. In addition to supporting the injured and the wronged as they navigate their legal journeys and fighting for the maximum compensation on their behalves, Abe is also a zealous supporter of our local communities and the institutions and organizations that support them. His passion for serving the local community was a driving force behind his milestone donation of $400,000 to FIU College of Law.
Abe’s substantial donation will go toward funding South Florida’s only public law school’s career planning and placement office, which has been renamed to the Abraham S. Ovadia Career Planning & Placement Office. According to FIU Law School Officials, the donation was the largest gift on record by a law school alumni, and one of the largest donations to date by a single alumnus under the age of 30.
Abe is a passionate supporter of his Alma Matter, which provided him with the education and resources needed to launch a successful career helping South Floridians in matters involving personal injury protection (PIP),auto accident, and insurance claims. Ovadia Law Group also regularly recruits and hires FIU law school graduates.
According to Ovadia, supporting the next generation of legal minds and preparing them to protect the rights and interests of local residents is a benefit to both students, emerging professionals, and our many South Florida communities. He notes that his support was driven by the talented and diverse student body at FIU College of Law that go on to achieve great success in the legal field. He is hopeful that his donation will help the school continue its mission of producing the highest quality attorneys and place more students into productive careers.
