ATV crash in Royal Palm Beach leaves one man dead, woman in hospital

A 54-year-old man died in an ATV crash Saturday night within the Willows subdivision in Royal Palm Beach.

Both Palm Beach County deputies and fire rescue were alerted to the incident off Bobwhite Road and found an unresponsive man, Arron Pena who was pronounced dead at the scene, and an injured woman, 32-year-old Evelyn Chavez.

Chavez remains in “stable” condition, according to an update by the sheriff’s office.

PBSO detectives are currently looking into the fatal crash as a death investigation.

According to PBSO spokeswoman, Teri Barbera, alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor and no safety gear was worn. But, the investigation continues.
