Authorities investigating overnight fire in the Drummond Park area

UPDATE: This has been deemed an electrical accident and the trailer is most likely a total loss. One family has been displaced and the Red Cross has been contacted. Officials confirmed there were no injuries.

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Panama City officials are still investigating the cause of an overnight house fire that started around 10:30 p.m. last night in the Drummond Park area.

A mobile home in the 2500 block of Drummond Avenue caught fire. First responders on-scene said the people and the animals in the home all escaped safely.

The mobile home suffered some extensive damage from the flames, smoke, and water. They had it extinguished by about 11:00 p.m. No word as to what caused the fire.
