UPDATE: One suspect is in custody following a deadly Monday morning stabbing in Panama City.
The Panama City Police Department says at 2:07 a.m., officers responded to a physical altercation at the Suburban Studios Motel on Highway 98.
On arrival, officials say they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
During the following investigation, police were able to identify 45-year-old Bahamian citizen P as a suspect.
Bay County Sheriff’s Office deputies located P in the parking lot of Annabella’s townhomes and took him into custody.
Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
Police are investigating an early Monnay morning incident at Suburban Studios in Panama City.
The Panama City Police Chief on scene told NewsChannel 7 they are now conducting a homicide investigation.
