Bicyclist dies in Boynton Beach crash, PBSO reports.

A bicycle rider died Sunday morning after colliding with a vehicle while going through a Boynton Beach intersection, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported.

According to its statement, the bicyclist, who was identified as Harry Mulder, was heading south on El Clair Ranch Road, shortly after 9:00 a.m. Mulder, 78, was riding along the sidewalk on the east side of the road and went to cross Piper Glen Boulevard.

Just before Mulder entered the intersection, an eastbound 2012 Honda CRV on Piper Glen Boulevard began to cross the road, the report continued. The SUV and the bicycle collided, throwing Mulder onto the ground, investigators determined.
