Bicyclist hospitalized after being hit by school bus in Davie: Police

A bicyclist had to be rushed to the hospital after they were hit by a school bus in Davie Friday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the crash in the 7900 block of Nova Drive, Davie Police officials said.

The adult bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Their identity was not immediately revealed.

Police also did not provide information about the driver of the school bus, or what may have caused the crash.

The westbound lanes of Nova Drive, just west of University Drive, were shut down. Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes.

The investigation continues.
