A bicyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a Brightline train in Aventura on Thursday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Northeast 215th St., where Aventura police responded to a call about the collision.
Authorities said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and transported the man as a trauma alert to a nearby hospital.
They also said no other individuals were injured in the crash.
A Local 10 News crew was at the scene of the crash where the mangled bike involved was seen in the back of a police aide’s pickup truck.
Aventura police said they are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash, working in coordination with Brightline officials.
Further details on the pedestrian’s identity, age or condition have not yet been released.
