Bicyclist killed in head-on crash with car in Holly Hill, police say

HOLLY HILL, Fla. – A Daytona Beach bicyclist was killed Monday in a head-on collision with a car in Holly Hill, police said.

The fatal crash happened at the intersection of 10th Street and the Florida East Coast railroad tracks, near Centennial Park & Lake Hadley.

Holly Hill police said Adam P. Lacouzz was riding a bike when he and the driver of a vehicle tried to avoid each other and entered the eastbound lane of 10th Steet and the tracks, where they collided head-on.

Lacouzz was taken to Halifax Hospital, where he later died, according to police.

No other details, including information about the driver, have been released.
