Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash on MLK Parkway

A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said around 9 p.m., a black SUV traveling southbound, near Haines Street, struck the bicyclist while he was crossing the roadway.

The black SUV left the scene, according to the FHP report.

The bicyclist, who was a man from Jacksonville, died at a local hospital.
