A 59-year-old Homosassa woman was tragically killed in a crash on West Homosassa Trail on Tuesday at around 8:15 pm.
The woman was riding her bicycle northbound on West Homosassa Trail when she was struck from behind by a Dodge Ram pickup truck, also traveling northbound, driven by a 30-year-old Crystal River man.
The collision occurred just south of South Regal Lilly Way. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
