Bike rider killed in crash along East Colonial Drive, troopers say

A bicyclist was killed in a crash along East Colonial Drive on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

In a release, troopers said they responded to the crash around 1:21 p.m. at East Colonial Drive and Woodbury Road.

Per investigators, the crash involved the bicyclist and a 2022 Tesla Model 3. While the bicyclist died at the scene, the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, troopers reported.

“There is currently roadblock for the eastbound lanes on E. Colonial Drive,” the release states.
