Black bear cub shot to death in Marion County

State wildlife officials are asking the public for help to find the individual(s) responsible for shooting a black bear cub that was found dead in northeast Marion County.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials announced this weekend that they recovered a bear cub who was shot around Forest Road and 247th Court, just north of CR 314 in Salt Springs.

No additional details were provided by FFWCC. The organization is offering a $500 reward for any information about the violation.
