Boat capsizes off Fisher Island, 2 people rescued.

A 20-foot boat took on water and capsized off Fisher Island on Tuesday afternoon.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said boat crew members responded to reports of an overturned vessel with two people in the water.

Sky 10 flew over the scene around 3:40 p.m. where rescue crews were assisting the two people who were stranded near the 15000 block of Fisher Island Drive, near Government Cut in Miami Beach.

Authorities said the stranded victims were wearing lifejackets and were taken back to shore while a salvage unit was called in to assist with the capsized vessel.

No injuries or transports to the hospital have been reported at this time.

The cause of how the boat capsized is under investigation.
