Boat catches fire on Saturday morning in Port Charlotte


Fire crews rushed to the scene of a boat on fire late Saturday morning.

At 11:07 a.m. crews were dispatched to a fire at a boat storage facility on Appleton Blvd.

When crews arrived they found a boat engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to another boat and surrounding trees.

The fire was eventually contained.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is determined to be electrical related.
