A Boca Raton woman is dead after her car ended up in a community lake.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, on January 26, a 71-year-old woman ended up driving through bushes before going into a lake.
The car floated for a bit, until eventually sinking.
Once on scene, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue extracted the driver from her car and performed resuscitation efforts before transporting her to Boca Regional Medical Center.
The 71-year-old received treatment for 8 days before she was pronounced dead on February 3.
