An investigation is underway after a body was discovered inside a burning vehicle on Friday morning, according to the St. Cloud Police Department.
A homeowner called officials to report a black Kia just off the roadway on Virginia Avenue, with flames coming from the engine compartment.
St. Cloud Fire Rescue was able to extinguish the fire, and a body was discovered inside the vehicle, police said.
The person’s identity is still unknown.
Officials are working with the Medical Examiner’s office to identify the victim.
St. Cloud police officials are actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire.
