Bonifay woman in critical condition after accident on CR 276

A 33-year-old Bonifay woman is in critical condition after an accident on County Road 276 that happened around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

According to FHP, the woman, driving a sedan, was negotiating a curve to the left on CR 276 (Clayton Road). A 71-year-old Caryville man was also negotiating a curve to the right. The woman traveled into the eastbound lane and collided with the front of the other vehicle.

The woman came to final rest facing an easterly direction in the westbound lane of CR 276, officials said.

The man ran off the roadway, ending in the eastbound shoulder. He sustained no injuries.
