Boy, 5, killed after being struck by truck in Miami-Dade ID'd, deputies say

A 5-year-old who was killed after he was struck by a pickup truck in Miami-Dade County last week was identified on Tuesday, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the boy was identified as G.

Deputies said the incident happened on Friday in the area of 166th Street and 177th Avenue near the Miami Motocross Park

G was riding his bicycle between cars when he was hit by a truck.

He was then pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated.

No arrests have been made as the investigation remains active.
