Boy on bicycle struck by vehicle near Brevard County middle school

A juvenile was airlifted to a hospital Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle near a middle school in Brevard County, according to the Titusville Police Department.

The boy was riding a bicycle westbound on Dairy Road on the sidewalk when he attempted to cross the entrance to James Madison Middle School, police said.

According to police, a driver stopped before moving forward and did not see the juvenile, striking him.

Police said the juvenile was not seriously injured and that the vehicle’s tires did not make contact with him.

Out of caution, he was airlifted to a hospital.
