The Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) has identified the two victims killed in a double homicide on Monday.
Police identified the victims as Selicia Noreika and Freddy Bedasie, both of whom were 63 years of age.
The Boynton Beach police say they’re continuing to canvas the area and have increased patrols in the community.
On Monday, at 10:51 a.m., police responded to a call about a shooting near 2000 SW 17th Street in the Boynton Leisureville community. Boynton Beach Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and pronounced the two people dead.
Police say shortly after the shooting, witnesses nearby reported seeing a Black man running west from the area. BBPD describes the man as being 5’10” with short black hair and wearing all black.
A person of interest has been identified, but investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact BBPD Detective Leitiner at 561-742-6113.
