Bradenton police are investigating a woman’s death after they responded to a crash scene and found her with inconsistent injuries.
The Bradenton Police Department responded to a report of a traffic crash around 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the 2100 block of 8th Avenue East.
Responding officers found a middle-aged woman suffering from extensive injuries, inconsistent with the crash, the BPD said.
The woman died at the scene.
BPD detectives and the Manatee Homicide Investigation unit have taken over the investigation.
Officers said the homicide appears to be an isolated incident.
