A crash between a vehicle and a Brightline train has closed Southeast Dixie Highway in Stuart on Wednesday night.
According to the Stuart Police Department (SPD), Southeast Dixie Highway near Southeast Decker Avenue is closed after a Brightline train struck an unoccupied vehicle.
Photos from SPD shows a smashed SUV on the train tracks with a Brightline train wedged into it.
At this time it’s unclear how the vehicle ended up on the tracks or where the driver could be.
Police ask that travelers avoid the area.
