A 44-year-old Brooksville man died in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:36 AM in the 15000 block of Old Dixie Highway. The 44-year-old man was traveling northbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle.
The motorcycle veered to the left shoulder and collided with a Suzuki Sidekick and a Chevy S10 Blazer, both parked and unoccupied in the driveway of 15521 Old Dixie Highway.
The rider was transported to a local hospital but died from his injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
